A FEW WORDS FROM JUDGE BROWN

In 2020, Governor Tim Walz appointed me as a judge in Ramsey County following a rigorous selection process based on merit and with the recommendation of the Judicial Merit Selection Committee. Since my appointment, I have been honored to serve Ramsey County as a district court judge and have presided over hundreds of cases.

I apply the law fairly and know that my patience, kindness and understanding are also critical for everyone in the courtroom – victims, defendants, jurors, witnesses and lawyers alike. I treat everyone with dignity and respect.

Being a good judge requires knowledge of the law, intellectual ability, and a respectful courtroom demeanor all of which I have demonstrated over and over again in my career. I believe adding my extensive experience in the real-life, every-day application of justice using fairness and compassion has made me a great judge for the community where I grew up and live.

With this judicial experience, temperament, background, and a proven track record of a commitment to justice and dedication to public service, I hope I have earned your support and your vote.  I will keep working hard to honor the trust you have placed in me.
